Better than a truck-stop night
- Full hook-ups at every site: power (50/30/20 amp), water, and sewer, so you can dump and fill before the next leg.
- Nearly every site is pull-through (all except sites 1–3), and 50 ft rigs fit easily, so you don't need to unhook for one night.
- Quiet. We're in the country north of the interstate, and reviewers keep mentioning how quiet the nights are.
- Flat nightly site service fees of $40–$45, with WiFi, utilities, hot showers, and coin laundry included. Veterans save 10% on the daily rate.
- Pets welcome, with room to walk the dog after a long day.
Planning tips for the Dallas–Shreveport run
The I-20 corridor between the Metroplex and the Louisiana line runs roughly 175 miles (approx.). Exit 620 is near the east end of it, so it works well on either a first or last night. If you're eastbound, stop here and you'll cross into Louisiana in the morning, with Shreveport traffic behind you before lunch. Westbound travelers coming out of Louisiana late in the day can stop here before the Tyler and Dallas stretch. Fuel up before you leave the interstate. If you're bringing a toad or an extra vehicle, mention it when you call so we can put you on a site that fits.
If one night turns into two
Marshall is worth a day. Stretch your legs at the fishing pond in the campground. You can also visit Caddo Lake State Park and its bayou trails, or check the calendar. The FireAnt Festival takes over downtown on the second Saturday of October. The Caddo Kennel Club holds AKC dog shows at Marshall City Arena. East Texas Baptist University football and family weekends, plus Wiley University events, bring visitors to town. Shreveport-Bossier's riverfront is also only about 45 minutes east.
