Getting here from Dallas

One interstate, one exit, two miles

≈154 miles≈2 hr 45 min (approx.)Mostly I-20 East

From downtown Dallas, get onto I-20 East (I-30 East to I-635 South and US-80 East both connect). After that it's a straight run east past Terrell, the Tyler-area exits and Longview. There's no downtown driving and no tight city streets, so the approach is easy for 5th wheels and Class A coaches. Nearly all our sites are pull-through (all except sites 1–3), and 50 ft rigs fit easily.

From I-20 (eastbound or westbound)

  1. Take I-20 Exit 620.
  2. Head north on FM 31 / Elysian Fields Rd.
  3. Go about 2 miles. Marshall RV Park is at 4812 Elysian Fields Rd.

Coming from the north (Texarkana / Jefferson / US-59)

  1. Take US-59 South through Jefferson into Marshall.
  2. Turn left (east) on US-80 / Victory Dr and go about 1 mile.
  3. Turn right on Indian Springs Dr, which becomes Elysian Fields Ave / FM 31.
  4. Continue south past Timberline RV Park and the Marks Hill Rd / Airport Rd intersection, where the road name changes to Elysian Fields Rd. Marshall RV Park is about 0.6 mi further on, at 4812 Elysian Fields Rd. From Jefferson the drive is about 19 mi, ≈25 min (OSRM, approx.).

Leaving Dallas after work is fine.

Why Dallas families come east

Ballgames, campus visits, and Marshall weekends

Tournament and game-day families. Many of our guests are parents following softball and baseball tournaments and high school and college football games across East Texas. With 42 sites and weekly site service fees, a camper here can be your home base for a whole tournament weekend instead of a string of hotel nights.

Visiting a Marshall college. Marshall is home to East Texas Baptist University (home of the Tigers, NCAA Division III) and Wiley University, a historically Black university founded in 1873. If you're a Dallas parent coming for move-in, a game, or graduation, bring the RV and stay a few minutes from campus.

Marshall's big weekends. The FireAnt Festival fills downtown Marshall every year on the second Saturday of October, with a parade, a 5K, the Tour de FireAnt bike ride, and more than 200 vendors. The Caddo Kennel Club of Texas holds AKC all-breed dog shows at Marshall City Arena (3310 Poplar St.), and our pet-friendly sites are a good fit for exhibitors traveling with dogs.

Outdoors nearby. Caddo Lake State Park is a short drive away. You can paddle the Big Cypress Bayou under moss-draped cypress, fish from the pier, or walk the trails.

Heading back toward Dallas? Use us as the last quiet night before a Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, the State Fair of Texas at Fair Park, or a morning at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. You can roll in the next day rested.
